Privacy Policy

Effective Date 9/16/26

1. Introduction

Fogbelt Brewing Co. (“Fogbelt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website www.fogbeltbrewing.com (the “Site”) and our taproom locations in Santa Rosa and Healdsburg, California. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site, how we use and share it, the technologies we use (including cookies and similar tools), and the choices and rights available to you, including rights under California law.

This Policy applies to www.fogbeltbrewing.com and does not cover third-party sites we link to or that process transactions on our behalf, such as our online ordering partner Toast or any reservation platform we may use — please review those providers’ own privacy policies separately.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

We collect information you choose to submit through forms on the Site, including:

•        Contact form: first name, last name, email address, and your message

•        Newsletter (“Trail Guide”) sign-up: first name, last name, and email address

•        Group reservation requests: first name, last name, email address, phone number, party size, and requested date/time

•        Careers page submissions, if you apply for a job: the information you include in your application

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including:

•        Device and browser information (e.g., browser type, operating system, screen size)

•        IP address and approximate location derived from it

•        Pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, and time spent on the Site

•        Whether a form was submitted or a button was interacted with (first-party site analytics)

2.3 Information from third-party services embedded on the Site

The Site uses the following third-party tools, which may receive limited technical data:

•        Google Analytics (GA4) — site-usage analytics. Loads with analytics cookies/storage set to “denied” by default and only activates measurement storage if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner.

•        Google reCAPTCHA — used to protect our forms from spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and send it to Google. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Terms of Service (https://policies.google.com/terms).

•        Squarespace — our website hosting provider, which processes form submissions and cookie-consent preferences on our behalf as a service provider.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner lets you Accept or Decline non-essential cookies. If you click “Decline,” analytics cookies remain disabled and Google Analytics does not collect measurement data about your visit. If you click “Accept,” analytics cookies are enabled. Strictly necessary cookies (for example, those required for cart and checkout functionality) are used regardless of your choice, as they are necessary for the Site to function.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

•        Respond to inquiries, reservation requests, and job applications

•        Send the Trail Guide newsletter to subscribers who sign up for it

•        Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and understand how visitors use it

•        Protect the Site and our forms from spam, fraud, and abuse

•        Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:

•        With service providers who help us operate the Site and our business (e.g., Google, Squarespace) under obligations to use the data only to provide their services to us

•        If you use our online ordering (Toast) or a reservation platform, directly with that provider, subject to its own privacy policy

•        To comply with law, respond to legal process, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Fogbelt, our guests, or others

•        In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets

6. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information, subject to certain exceptions:

•        Right to Know — what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, and (if applicable) sold or shared about you

•        Right to Delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected from you

•        Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information

•        Right to Opt Out — opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (see note above on current practice)

•        Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information, where applicable

•        Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights

•        Right to Appeal — appeal a denial of a rights request

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@fogbeltbrewing.com or by mail at 1305 A Cleveland Ave. Santa Rosa CA 95401. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request.

7. Shine the Light

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. If this changes, we will update this Policy accordingly.

8. Children's Privacy

Fogbelt is a brewery serving alcoholic beverages, and the Site is intended for visitors 21 years of age or older. The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age (or 16, where required by California law, for purposes of any sale or sharing of personal information). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, such as responding to your inquiry or maintaining your newsletter subscription, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site links to third-party services, including our online ordering system (Toast), our social media pages (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube), and may link to a reservation platform. These third parties operate independently of Fogbelt and are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
